In his acceptance remarks, Edun committed to "reforms and structural changes to elevate boxing across the board," vowing to tackle funding shortfalls, talent development, and international competitiveness in a nation once a continental powerhouse but now lagging behind rivals like South Africa.

The vice presidency proved more contested, with southwest representative Hon. Omonlei Imadu edging out North Central's Mighty Mike 8-4.
